Aaaargh mateys! Welcome back to Nerd 101. Server issues are solved, and we're back in production. The issue with pirates is... what is real, what is Hollywood, and what is Nerd? This week we spend some time with host Jennifer Knighton and Pirate Bob Brinkman as they explore where that line is, and help people get into the real world of pirates for the first time.
Enjoy my friends, more Nerd101 goodness is on tap soon. We're shooting for 2 updates a month, and then back to our weekly schedule in the fall.

This week's Nerd 101 takes us back into the world of Joss Whedon, and a visit back to 2005, with Firefly. A Science Fiction with a Western sensibility, is has become a nerd touchstone in recent years.
First off, I'd like to thank everyone for listening. Our other podcast, Tales From The Jungle Crews, had kind of a built in audience of Disney fans. Nerd101 has actually beat the first month's download level of TFJC in just 2 weeks. We're growing, and having a great time.
Secondly, we'd like to announce that Nerd101 is now open-source. If *YOU* would like to record a Nerd101 episode, just shoot us a message at JungleCrews@gmail.com. We'll give you the guidelines, and while we can't guarantee that we can use every idea, we'd love to have our audience producing material with us.
We''ll see you in a week, as next week we have another very special visit with Nerd101.
